Black/Red
A beautiful pair of deconstructed trousers from Comme des Garcons Homme Plus. Created in 2002, these pants feature an elegant slim fit and a bold design twist that plays with our understanding of how pants are put together. The contrast red lining along the front of the pant is exposed on a center seam, stitched in stepped layers with the edges left raw. For this one seam, the stitching was reversed and the result reveals the 'interior' of the garment. In addition, the lining is visible when the pants are worn cuffed, the back of the leg featuring a tartan pattern. This pair of pants is concise in its gesture but otherwise extremely clean, leading to an amazingly versatile and wearable pant. Finished with an invisible hook and eye clasp waist closure, zipper fly, slash side pockets, and side button straps to cinch for a tighter fit in lieu of belt loops.
